    Application of engineering plastics in photovoltaic field.

    Common types of engineering plastics: 

    Polyamide (Nylon) : such as PA6, PA66, with good mechanical properties and wear resistance. 

    Polycarbonate (PC) : With high transparency and impact strength, it is often used in transparent parts. 

    Polyformaldehyde (POM) : Excellent wear resistance and mechanical strength. 

    Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) : high temperature and chemical resistance.

     Polyimide (PI) : has extremely high heat resistance and electrical insulation. 

    Polyester (PET, PETG) : has good transparency and impact resistance. 

    Polysulfone (PSU) : high temperature and chemical resistance.

    Junction box: Engineering plastics have good insulation properties and weather resistance, and can be used to manufacture junction boxes for photovoltaic modules, protecting the electrical connection part from environmental effects.

    1. Nylon(PA)

    2. Polyimide (PI)

    3. Polyether ether ketone (PEEK)

    4. Polycarbonate (PC)

    In the photovoltaic field, PTFE materials are mainly used in the packaging materials and coatings of solar panels.

    7. Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)

    8. Polystyrene (PS)


    PS is a transparent and rigid plastic, which is often used to make packaging materials for solar panels. It has good optical properties and weather resistance, but poor temperature resistance and impact resistance.

    In the field of photovoltaic, PS materials are mainly used in guides, auxiliary components and so on.
