    • Filter mesh error

    Melt Flow Index

    This index is used to describe the strength of the fluidity of plastic materials in the injection molding process, and has a certainrole in the confirmation and adjustment of the process in the injection molding production process.
    The melt index is commonly expressed by MI, and is now uniformly called melt flow rate internationally, which is expressed by MFR. The most commonly used test standard is ASTM D 1238, and the measuring instrument for this test standard is the MeltIndexer (MeltIndexer), in g/10min.

    It is often used as a parameter for thermoplastic resin quality control and thermoplastic molding process conditions.

    For the same resin, the melting index can be used to compare the size of its molecular weight to control the production quality. In general, for a resin with a certain chemical structure, the smaller the melting index, the greater the molecular weight, and the performance of its breaking strength, hardness, toughness, aging resistance and stability have been improved.
    The melting index is large, the molecular weight is small, and the fluidity during molding is correspondingly better.


    • Tensile strength/elongation at break

    These two indicators are derived from tensile test data. Tensile test refers to the test method to determine the properties of materials under axial tensile loads. The elastic limit, elongation, elastic modulus, proportional limit, area reduction, tensile strength, yield point, yield strength and other tensile properties of the material can be determined by the data obtained from the tensile test.

    Tensile strength refers to the stress at which a material produces the greatest uniform plastic deformation. In the tensile test, the tensile strength of the sample until the maximum tensile stress to fracture is the tensile strength.
    Elongation at break is expressed as a percentage (%) and usually refers to the ratio of the displacement of the sample at break to the original length.
    The tensile process of the material usually needs to go through a plastic deformation stage, which occurs after the yield point, and fracture occurs after reaching the breaking point. Therefore, elongation at break usually refers to the elongation of the entire process, and elongation is usually just the percentage of elongation at the stage where plastic deformation occurs.


    • Ash content

    The plastic sample of a certain mass goes through a series of logistics and chemical changes when it is burned in the electric furnace and furnace, and the organic component volatilizes and disperses, while the inorganic component remains in the ashing process until the mass is constant weight. These residues are called total ash, and the mass percentage of ash and sample is the plastic ash.

    The purpose of ash detection is to preliminarily conduct some qualitative or even semi-quantitative analysis of the composition of plastic particles. Through the final test of the content of inorganic substances in plastics, it can be used as a basis for judging the authenticity of materials and judging the properties of materials.
